We are investigating the identities of dreamers, visionaries, eccentrics, hermits and those who live outside of mankind’s self-imposed boundaries. This project explores the lives of individuals who are, in a word, Outsiders. Outside of what is culturally accepted. Outside of societal norms. Outside of any expectations except their own.

Through this artistic exploration of hidden personalities, we hope to present our audience with a better sense of their own selves, and the communities they inhabit. As a team, we will explore the entire United States, meeting and networking with people living in rural areas. We will visit the homes and properties of people living —sometimes metaphorically, and sometimes literally—outside.
